The magnet cleaners should not be used to remove hard calcareous algae; they should be used on a regular basis to keep algae from growing on the viewing panel.

• Use the rectangle pads on the inside magnet only.
• Wrap the outside magnet with a CLEAN cotton cloth.
• Do not attempt to remove thick coralline algae with the magnet; use a plastic straight edge like a credit card.
• Never drag the magnet through the sand bed.  Stay 2-3 inches above the sand bed.
• If sand particles or coralline algae get caught in the pad, immediately separate the magnet from the panel, retrieve the inside magnet with tongs and clean the pad thoroughly.
• Go over the panel with the magnet daily.
• Rinse the inside pad with clean water after each cleaning (daily).
