Everclear’s polishers work daily in the aquarium industry and have a working knowledge of aquariums, filtration and inhabitants. We pride ourselves on being neat, unobtrusive and professional. Based on our experience, it takes about one hour per side per square foot to refurbish acrylic properly. It has taken as little as a half-hour per square foot and has taken as long as two hours per square foot. Other crucial time factors are the hardness of the acrylic and the extent of the damage. Rates: When receiving a bid from Everclear there could be several different options: Option: 1 Complete refurbishing – The acrylic is completely sanded down inside and out and then polished back to 100% clarity, using a 6 to 12 step process. Option: 2 Spot Refurbishing – Time and materials. The same 6 to 12 step process is used to target specific damage. Only the damaged areas are sanded down and polished back to optical clarity. Option: 3 Buff and Polish - A series of liquid abrasives are used to remove light scratches and marks. This process will clean and strip all waxes as well as shine and seal the outer surface. Option: 4 Severe Damage Repair – Really deep dings, scrapes, or holes. Flash bulb damage, and crazing are very time consuming, but possible to repair or improve. Option: 5 Job Management – Let one of Everclear’s experienced managers lead your team to success. Use our tools and knowledge. Option: 6 Panel or aquarium replacement – It may be less expensive to replace the panel or the aquarium. The damage cannot be repaired. Everclear offers substantial quantity discounts from these listed prices. All bids are approximate and we will notify the client of progress at the end of each day. If costs are going to change the client will be asked to sign a work order change form.
